Discrimination Casework Service

Funded by our own unrestricted reserves, our Discrimination Casework Service assists individuals who have suffered discrimination due to any protected characteristics they may possess within the Equality Act 2010:

We will take initial details from you, and then a dedicated caseworker will seek further information to support your complaint. We will determine whether you have the possibility of a case to take forward. This may involve a face-to-face meeting at our office where you can talk to us in detail and sign an authorisation form for us to act on your behalf and you will also be advised of our casework policy and procedure formally at this stage. We will keep you updated on all actions taken on your behalf as well as any updates on your case.

There is no charge for this service. Race Equality First provides advice, support and representation for victims of hate, harassment and discrimination. We will deal with your case from the beginning until the end. We will give you initial advice, deal with all correspondence and advocacy and representation at hearings. We will essentially support you with all aspects of the case and we will not charge for our time or services. Should we be required to submit any papers on your behalf that may be subject to a fee or should you require further legal or mediation assistance that we are unable to obtain on a pro bono basis, you will be required to meet these potential costs.
