Our funders

The National Lottery raises money for good causes. 

People use this funding to do extraordinary things, taking the lead to improve their lives and communities. Every time you buy a National Lottery ticket, you help make this happen. 

Communities come in all shapes and sizes, and National Lottery funding is there for everyone. 

There are 12 distributors of money raised by the players of The National Lottery, which fund projects and activities that transform communities, protect our heritage, and enrich lives through arts, sports and culture.

The Community Matters Fund (STEM Educational Support) is committed to supporting groups of young people in economically disadvantaged communities and those who are marginalised and underrepresented within STEM, widening the reach of a STEM career for the next generation.

Registered charities and non-profit companies can apply for up to £5,000. Unregistered community organisations can apply for up to £2,000. 

Carers Trust operates the largest UK-wide network of local carer organisations. 

We refer to the 126 carer organisations in our network as Network Partners. Network Partners specialise in promoting the wellbeing of unpaid carers and providing them with information, advice and support specific to their city or region.

Independent Age is the national charity focused on improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life.

Their helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through their grants programme, they support hundreds of local organisations working directly with older people across the UK. 

They use the knowledge and insight gained from our support services and partnerships to highlight the issues experienced by older people in poverty and campaign for change.
