Overview

Through the the Amser programme, funded by Carers Trust Wales and the Welsh Government, we support unpaid carers living in Wales to access personalised, flexible and creative short breaksAmser is part of the Short Breaks Scheme for unpaid carers and aims to enable 30,000 carers to take a break from caring by 2025. The programme supports breaks such as: a day out; trips to the cinema or theatre; vouchers for an activity or something else you would like to plan.

Funding

The Carers Trust Wales also fund our Carers Support project which allows us to purchase household items for unpaid carers who cannot afford these items. We know this helps improve carer resilience and wellbeing and supports the sustainability of the carer’s caring relationship.

If you are an unpaid carer, get in touch to discuss how we can best support you with your plans for a short break.
