Overview

Hosted by the BBC’s Jason Mohammed, our annual anti-racism school competition, currently funded by National Lottery Community Fund, is Race Equality First’s Schools against Racism Poster Competition which has been running for almost 30 years. During this time, thousands of children across Wales have enjoyed painting and drawing pictures and learning about anti-racism, culture and diversity.

What we do

Each year we send out invitations to schools across Wales and always look forward to receiving pictures and artwork on the theme of Racial Equality. Since the competition started, children have had the pleasure of seeing their paintings appear on the calendar and posters and many more people have taken delight from having the calendars and posters to look at and display.

Look out for our annual Schools against Racism Poster Competition when it is launched again in April.

Tackling racial discrimination together

We fight on behalf of victims directly affected by hate crimes and/or discrimination, we deliver anti-racism training to companies of all sizes, and we hold governments and organisations to account.

Latest projects

Thanks to our funders, we’re able to run live projects that inspire and aim to break down barriers for the benefit of the people of Wales.
